Este Butt Welded Ball Valve is a professional on-off control valve for industrial pipelines. Its core feature is the butt welded (BW) end connection for pipeline installation, with an integrally cast/forged one-piece valve body (different from fully welded body ball valve). Only the connection ends are designed with standard butt weld grooves, and it realizes fast medium on-off control through 90° rotation of the ball. Available in soft seal / metal seated hard seal dual structure options, it covers full working conditions from normal temperature clean media to high temperature, particle-laden and heavy erosion harsh scenarios, specially built for high pressure, high sealing requirement and long-distance transmission pipelines.
Available in full sizes DN15–DN600 (NPS 1/2″–24″) and full pressure ratings PN16–PN100 (Class150–Class600), it strictly complies with GB, ANSI/ASME and API 6D standards, widely suitable for welded pipeline systems in oil and gas, town gas, district heating, chemical, power, coal chemical and other industries.
Key Features
Standard Butt Weld Ends, Firm Welding & Zero External Leakage
The connection ends adopt standard butt weld grooves complying with GB/ANSI universal standards, which can be directly butt welded with pipelines of the same material and diameter. The connection strength is consistent with the pipeline base metal, without potential leakage points such as gasket aging and bolt loosening of flanged connections. It perfectly adapts to high pressure, underground and vibration working conditions, eliminating the risk of external leakage from the connection root.
One-Piece Valve Body, Stable Structure & Strong Pressure Resistance
The valve body is integrally cast/forged from WCB carbon steel, without splicing welds on the valve body. It has strong structural rigidity, no casting defects, excellent pressure bearing performance, impact and deformation resistance, and stable and reliable long-term operation. Optional 304/316 stainless steel material is available for corrosive medium working conditions.

Soft Seal & Metal Seated Dual Options, Full Working Condition Adaptation
Soft Seal Type: Standard PTFE/RPTFE/PPL wear-resistant polymer seat with built-in preload spring realizes bidirectional elastic fitting sealing, reaching ANSI B16.104 Class VI zero leakage. It has low opening and closing torque, easy operation, suitable for normal temperature clean medium working conditions;
Metal Seated Hard Seal Type: The sealing surfaces of ball and seat are overlaid with Stellite alloy / tungsten carbide hard alloy on stainless steel matrix, with hardness up to HRC40-65. It features high temperature resistance, wear resistance, particle erosion resistance, with bidirectional sealing up to ANSI B16.104 Class V. It maintains effective sealing under fire conditions, perfectly suitable for harsh working conditions such as high temperature steam, dust/particle-laden media and heavy erosion scenarios.
Flexible Flow Channel Design, Full Scene Adaptation
Full bore/reduced bore options are available: full bore type has extremely low flow resistance, supports pig passage, perfectly meeting the pigging operation requirements of long-distance pipelines; reduced bore type is lightweight and more cost-effective, suitable for conventional process pipelines.
Multiple Safety Structures, Dual GB & ANSI Standard Compliance
The full series is equipped with anti-static and blow-out proof stem structure as standard, and the metal seated type comes with fire-safe design, complying with API 6D fire and anti-static standards. Dimensions, grooves and pressure ratings comply with both GB and ANSI specifications at the same time. It supports manual, worm gear, electric and pneumatic operation modes, with standard ISO5211 mounting pad, which can be directly matched with automatic control systems.
