 Product Structure

The High Pressure Wafer Check Valve mainly consists of the following parts:

1. Body: Precision cast or forged body in carbon steel (WCB), stainless steel (CF8/CF8M), duplex stainless steel, etc. Face‑to‑face dimensions comply with ASME B16.10 for wafer check valves. The sealing faces may include grooves for gaskets.

2. Disc (Dual‑Plate Type): Two semicircular discs rotating around a common center pin shaft or two separate shafts. Each disc has its own spring. Sealing faces can be hardfaced with Stellite or covered with PTFE/PEEK.

3. Disc (Spring‑Loaded Single‑Plate Type): One‑piece disc rotating around a top or center pin shaft, equipped with a torsion or coil spring.

4. Spring: Stainless steel (304/316/17‑4PH) torsion or coil spring providing rapid closing force, ensuring the disc seats before reverse pressure builds.

5. Pin Shaft: Stainless steel or Inconel alloy, through‑shaft or split design.

6. Seat: Metal seat (hardfaced) machined in the body or inserted soft seat (PTFE/PEEK).

7. Stop Pin: Limits maximum disc opening to prevent over‑travel.

Compact design, wafer connection – the valve is clamped between two pipe flanges without bolts passing through the valve body.

Function

1. Prevents Backflow of High‑Pressure Media: Forward flow opens the discs; reverse flow or flow stoppage makes the discs close rapidly under spring force and backpressure, stopping backflow.

2. Low Pressure Loss: When fully open, the dual discs lie nearly parallel to the flow path, providing a low resistance coefficient and significant energy savings.

6. Any‑Angle Installation (Spring‑Loaded Type): Spring assistance allows horizontal, vertical, or inclined installation (dual‑plate type is typically recommended for horizontal or vertical upward flow).

1. Applicable Media: High‑pressure water, oil, natural gas, steam, chemical media, synthesis gas, seawater, etc.

2. Temperature Range: –29°C to +550°C (metal seated); –20°C to +150°C (soft seated).
